At the end of 2026, microscopists from all over South Africa will get together in the beautiful winelands to demonstrate how the microscopy data acquired across our country contributes to our collective journey to understand our environment and to find ways to address the biggest challenges faced in South Africa. This is also a fantastic opportunity to meet the major role players from industry who support imaging scientists in South Africa.

The Microscopy Society of Southern Africa is a non-profit organisation consisting of imaging scientists across Southern Africa, including material sciences and life sciences. The society's goals to further microscopy in Southern Africa aligns well with the goals of SABI and we encourage all our members to follow all the developments in MSSA. We will keep sharing updates and trust all will start thinking about how they can showcase their microscopy data and share with the rest of the community.
